With the morning dew still fresh on the fairways and a perfect spring breeze in the air, the stage was set for one of our most cherished traditions: the 18th Annual Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament, held May 16th at Terrapin Hills Country Club. Thirty-one teams joined us for a day of friendly competition, networking, and community spirit, making this year’s tournament one of our biggest and most successful yet.

Thanks to the overwhelming support of our players, sponsors, and community partners, we raised over $22,000 to support the mission of the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce. The Mayor’s Cup is the Chamber’s only true annual fundraiser, and it plays a vital role in helping us operate efficiently, keep event fees low, and ensure membership remains accessible to all. In short, this tournament allows us to serve you better—while also giving back.

More Than a Game

In addition to supporting Chamber operations and programming, a portion of the proceeds goes directly toward funding the Scott Bateman Memorial Scholarship, awarded annually to a deserving local high school senior. Your participation and support make it possible to invest in the future of our community—and that’s something to celebrate.

Powered by Partnerships

We are especially grateful to our annual event partners, whose continued generosity fuels the Chamber’s work year-round:
GH Metal Solutions, FPIA, DC Gas, FTC, Nucor Vulcraft, Puro Clean, ReMax Property Center of Fort Payne, and Fort Payne Water Works. This tournament is just one of many events you help bring to life, and we deeply appreciate your commitment.

Our event sponsors went above and beyond—not only contributing financially but also showing up to play. Thank you to:
Siemens Energy, WinSouth Credit Union, Jefferson’s, Vulcan Materials, Wiregrass Construction, First Fidelity Bank, Coca-Cola, Valley Joist & Deck, Buffalo Rock, Pioneer Bridges, DeKalb Regional Medical Center, First State Bank, and First Southern State Bank for your investment in this event and the community it supports.

To the teams who joined us on the course—Walters Painting, The Well Fort Payne, Jet Polymer Recycling, Fort Payne Optimist Club, Heil Environmental, Thompson Rents, and Canyon Engineering—thank you for making the day so enjoyable.

We also extend thanks to our hole sponsors, whose signs and setups added vibrancy and displayed community support across the course:
MySupply, Emblem Credit Union, Wilson Storage, Todd Greeson, Edward Jones – John T, Zaxby’s, Wilson Funeral Home, Builder’s Supply, State Farm- Roxy Clifton, and Cole Surgical Arts (and all of our sponsors mentioned above as well)
