Getting Things Done
If you don’t know where the Chamber of Commerce is located, well, we share a wall with The DeKalb Theatre, so we are perfectly situated in downtown Fort Payne. Located in the back portion of the Chamber are two dressing rooms that are used by the Theatre from time to time. Boy, did they need some work.
The City of Fort Payne has graciously agreed to renovate those dressing rooms for the Chamber. This is huge, and the rooms are going to be so very nice for those who perform or use the Theatre. Fort Payne Building and Maintenance crew are working diligently on the renovation project and are doing a fantastic job. What a great group of guys we have working for the City. Thank you, Tony “Buck” Keef, and your entire staff. This crew is an “at-your-service” crew, helping wherever they are needed. Their work is top notch and would be hard to beat.
The relationship between the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce and The City of Fort Payne is truly a partnership. Our goal as the Chamber is to be the primary liaison between the business community and the City. We hope businesses will look to the Chamber to help guide them in their endeavors, and we will be that reliable support system our local businesses need. It’s hard to do things alone, but with a team approach so much can be accomplished.
Let’s all remember to thank Mayor Chesser, our City Council Members, and the Building and Maintenance Department for the City who work hard daily with one goal in mind, to make Fort Payne the perfect place to do business and to call home.
