Annual Awards Banquet Planned


Hello faithful Chamber Chatter readers. It’s been awhile.I offer my apologies for taking so long to get back in the groove of things here at the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce. We have several things already planned for the upcoming weeks and hope to bring Fort Payne even more programs this year to assist with business growth.

Join us on Tuesday, February 5th at 5:30 pm, we will hold the State of the State Address at the Fort Payne City Auditorium. House Majority Leader Nathaniel Ledbetter and Senator Steve Livingston will share with us some initiatives from 2018 and what is on the horizon in 2019.

Success in Sixty, our monthly luncheon in partnership with Fort Payne Main Street, will be heldThursday, February 7th at 11:30 am.Join us for lunch at the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce.We have the pleasure of hosting guest speaker Matt Ulmer from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Matt will speak about the importance of Hometown Hospitality. Local retailers and service industry professionals will learn tips on how to cater their customer service approach to improveloyalty of existing customers and capture new customers. If you own a restaurant, gas station, lodging facility or retail store, this is specifically for you. We do require you reserve a seat by emailing or by calling 256.845.2741. This is a free event for Chamber members, and there is a $10 charge for non-members.

Wrapping up February, we will hold our Annual Awards Banquet on Tuesday, February 26th at 6:00 pm at The Building. This year our entertainment will be Chris, Alan and Stan, members of Canyonland Band with guest speaker Judge Randall Cole. This year’s honorees are: Large Business of the Year, GH Metal Solutions; Small Business of the Year, America’s Best Care Plus; Friend of Fort Payne, Lion’s Club; and V.I.
