Located in the heart of downtown Fort Payne, in the Sawyer Building, is a unique shop that has a little of everything – Boom Town Makers Market. Boom Townwas founded November 2016, as a project of Landmarks, the Historic Association of DeKalb County, Ala., one of the county’s oldest and most respected 501c3 organizations. Boom Town is staffed by volunteers, who are passionate about their craft.


Weaving the legacy of Alabama-made goods back together, one story at a time, theyemphasize products made in North Alabama; products that honor the ideals of American craftsmanship and are Modern + Heritage-inspired. You will find beautifully crafted jewelry, home goods, gourmet food, pottery, hand blown glass, sculpture, furniture, soaps, unique art, clothing and more. Over 40 Makers showcase their talents at Boom Town.

Boom Town gives shoppers an amazing experience and allow visitors to discover incredible handmade treasures. Their growing market serves as an encouraging community for local artists with a goal to craft a sustainable infrastructure for local economic development and vitality.


Recently, Boom Town Makers Market welcomed Chamber Members to Business After Hours and incorporated an Artist Opening for Lydia Randolph’s Fractal: Beauty in Pieces. Art. Nature. Deconstruction.You can always find pieces of Lydia’s work at Boom Town.
