As we end 2017and my first few months at the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce, I would like to say THANKS Fort Payne! These past few months I worked at a feverish pace to get to know our local businesses and movers and shakers in the community, and I cannot wait to see the many successes we have next year.
The City of Fort Payne has been most supportive of Chamber initiatives, and we are committed to working together to move Fort Payne forward. Thank you Mayor and City Council for your continued support.
A huge thanks to our Chamber Members, sponsors, and our Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Our Board is a volunteer Board of Directors who meet once a month, plus attend ribbon cuttings, after hours and all other events throughout the month. They have been instrumental in making my first few months successful. Thank you!
Something new for 2018 will be our brand-new website. This site will have a member software program embedded into the site, and our members can keep their information updated while keeping us abreast of what’s going on in their businesses. We hope to be a one-stop shop for business resources within our community. We will also continue to keep you posted on Chamber events and Chamber news on our website. If you are a Chamber Member, you will receive an email from us sometime in late January or early February with more information.
We recently partnered with Jacksonville State University (JSU) Small Business Development Center who will provide free consultations to any small business in town. Whether you’re a start-up or existing business, they can consult throughout the start-up process and/orprovide advice on growing and managing your business. For more information, reach out to the Chamber at 256.845.2741.
Finally, if you have a suggestion or would like to learn more about the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce, let us know, we would love to talk to you. A great way to keep up with Chamber events is by liking our Facebook page@ Fort Payne Chamber. I hope everyone has a very safe and blessed New Year.
