It is my honor to serve as the new Executive Director of the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce. Having grown up in DeKalb County, and with children in the Fort Payne City School System, my interest in assisting Fort Payne grow is of the upmost importance to me.
Chambers are vital to the success of every community, especially small communities who rely heavily on their local chamber to assist with business growth and retention. Working together with local businesses, the DeKalb County Economic Development and Tourism Boards, city officials, and Fort Payne Main Street to promote and advocate for the Fort Payne business community will be my primary focus.
First impressions are important and having an active online presence through an innovative website and social media outlets is something vital to the Chamber of Commerce, as over 80% of all purchases including services are decided online. It is also important to not only attract new business or clients, but to retain them as well. With an active Chamber of Commerce providing the most up- to-date business information and promoting all businesses and clients through engagement and networking, the Chamber is sure to see retention and membership growth.
The Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce is comprised of a Board of Directors who are instrumental in the decision-making process at the Chamber. With local chamber members serving on the Board, I know we will move Fort Payne forward, working together to make our community the best it can be.
We are accepting applications for new Board Members. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a Board Member, and you or the business you work for is an active member of the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce, let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
